Reena and Michael’s Hindu wedding at the Landmark Arts Centre, followed their civil wedding earlier on the same day. Colours Photo and Film had the pleasure of being the photographer and videographer for all their events. The magnificently grand Landmark Arts Centre provided a breathtaking backdrop for the traditional Hindu mandap and decor for the ceremony.
The venue quickly filled with family and friends, dressed in the most colourful outfits, for this special Saturday afternoon. Michael was first to enter the mandap, accompanied by Reena’s family. The priest conducted the first ceremony and there was silence in the hall as guests listened to the meaning of the Hindu rituals. Before long, Reena came into the hall, and joined Michael under the mandap. The priest instructed the couple to exchange garlands, and guided them through all the rituals, carefully explaining their significance to all those present.
It was beautiful to watch the guests so engrossed in what was happening under the mandap, and joining in the Hindu celebrations of Michael and Reena’s special day.
We wish Reena and Michael all the happiness and a big thank you for allowing Colours Photo and Film to capture your special moments.
