Beautiful Indian wedding photography at Watford Colosseum

I met Premvati a few years ago at her friend’s wedding in North West London. Following her engagement to Hersh, we met early last year when they booked us as their wedding photographer and videographer. Towards the end of summer 2014, we covered a number of Premvati and Hersh’s pre-wedding events in North London, which included a colourful musical evening and an equally colourful mehendi evening. This then lead to their Indian wedding which was held at the fabulous Watford Colosseum in Hertfordshire.

When we arrived at the wedding venue,  the mandap by Rangeela Arts looked magnificent overlooking the auditorium. Premvati was all ready and we took some photos of her with her family. We’re always looking for ways to be creative as Asian wedding photographer and videographer, and Premvati’s friends and family were up all for it. As a result we got some stylish shots of them all. In the meantime the groom party arrived dancing to the beats of a dhol player and Hersh came in true Indian style, on a beautifully decked horse. After the formal greetings, Hersh made his way to the mandap and shortly Premavti was brought by her mamas (uncles), in her gorgeous wedding outfit.

The gujarati wedding ceremony conducted by a priest was over all too quickly and was followed by the vidaai when Premvati said goodbye to her family before the start of her new life. After the weeks of celebrations, the vidaai was a touchingly emotional moment, full of sorrow. Before the couple set off, a final beautiful act was when they released doves into the air – a fitting end to a special day.

Premvati and Hersh – you have been a wonderful couple and covering your wedding was an absolute pleasure and a honour. Premvati, you looked amazing at all your wedding events. Both families and your friends made the Colours Photo and Film team so very welcome.  You both make a wonderful couple and we wish you every happiness in your married life.
