The Best of Asian Wedding Photography 2015

As we approach the dawn of a New Year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on 2015 and revisit some of the amazing weddings that we’ve had the pleasure to photograph and film this year.

The best thing about photographing and filming a couple’s wedding is that every wedding is so very different to the last one. And that provides a million opportunities to create a truly unique set of photographs and film which the couple can fondly look back on in the years to come.

In 2015, we’ve covered weddings in and around London (from North to South London, East to West London), up and down the UK. We’ve met the most wonderful people and have been humbled to share in the laughter and smiles, the fun and giggles, the nervous anticipation and of course, as you’d expect at weddings, one or two tears! We’ve loved creating some truly beautiful films, and capturing some brilliantly creative and contemporary images.

We have delivered over 40 wedding albums to our wonderful couples and seeing their faces light up when they see their albums makes our job so worthwhile. Two of our weddings have been featured in Asian Bride Magazine. Our wedding trailers have had over 10,000 unique visitors and we’ve reached over 330 blogs!  We haven’t got round to counting how many photographs or film clips we’ve shot over the course of the year, but the data we currently hold is over 20tb – that’s a lot of footage!

Make no mistake, photographing and filming Indian, Hindu, English, Muslim, African or Asian weddings is hard work – the preparation has to be perfect, you don’t get a second chance. The concentration required is phenomenal, you don’t want to miss anything. You need to get on with everyone – the couple, their friends & family, the guests, the other wedding suppliers but we find this part easy and enjoyable! The hours are long – on the day itself and afterwards when you’re editing, as we edit all our photographs and films ourselves. But it’s when you receive the sort of wonderful feedback that we get time and again, that we realise why all the hard work is worth it, and why we love doing what we do.

A special thanks goes to all our supporters on FacebookTwitterInstagram and Pinterest. Your encouragement means the world.

As with every blog, it’s hard to pick photographs as there are simply too many amazing moments that we have captured. But below are a small selection of some of our personal favourites.

So there you go, we hope you enjoyed our 2015 review of the year – The Best of Asian Wedding Photography! We are really excited for the weddings we’ve got booked for 2016; it’s going to be a very busy but enjoyable year. If you are interested in booking Colours Photo and Film to shoot your wedding then please get in touch.

We hope 2015 has been as awesome for you as it has been for us, and we wish you all a very happy, healthy and successful 2016.
