Last year, Colours Photo and Film had the pleasure of covering Misha and Hetal’s engagement ceremony in East London. This year, we had the equally enjoyable experience of doing the photography and videography of their Hindu wedding. The celebrations kicked off with the bride’s sanji and vidhi over a couple of days, before the wedding itself which was at the Cavendish Banqueting Suite in North London. The day commenced with the civil wedding – the groom was suitably nervous but he was ably supported by his best men. The bridesmaids in their simple and beautiful red outfits complimented Misha in her stunning wedding gown. The vows were said, rings exchanged and some tears shed by a very proud mother in the crowd. The civil wedding was followed by the Hindu ceremony in front of family and friends, with a beautiful mandap from Wed-in-Style. The maharaj took the time to explain the rituals and their significance, and the ceremony ended all too quickly. Hetal was also given the news that his beloved Liverpool Football Club had lost their match but he took it well, as he had more important things on his mind! For the reception, hosted by Karizma Roadshow, Misha and Hetal changed into their evening outfits with a blue colour scheme. The cake was cut, champagne drunk and speeches made before the couple took to the floor for the first dance to ‘My Girl’. We really loved photographing and filming Misha and Hetal’s special day. They are a fantastic couple who, despite being pressed for time, were happy to try out different poses and had a smile on their faces all the time. They’re also blessed with wonderfully supportive family and friends and it was our privilege to have been a part of their special day.
