The Best of Asian Wedding Photography 2014

As we approach the dawn of a New Year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on 2014 and revisit some of the amazing weddings that we’ve had the pleasure to photograph and film this year.

The best thing about photographing and filming a couple’s wedding is that every wedding is so very different to the last one. And that provides a million opportunities to create a truly unique set of photographs and film which the couple can fondly look back on in the years to come.

In 2014, we’ve covered weddings in and around London (from North to South London, East to West London), up and down the UK, as well as abroad. We’ve met the most wonderful people and have been humbled to share in the laughter and smiles, the fun and giggles, the nervous anticipation and of course, as you’d expect at weddings, one or two tears! We’ve loved creating some truly beautiful films, and capturing some brilliantly creative and contemporary images.

We have delivered over 50 wedding albums to our wonderful couples and seeing their faces light up when they see their albums makes our job so worthwhile. Twice our work was featured in Asian Bride Magazine and three times in Ultimate Wedding Magazine. Our wedding trailers has had over 10,000 unique visitors. We are nearing 300th blog!  We haven’t got round to counting how many photographs or film clips we’ve shot over the course of the year, but the data we currently hold is over 15tb!!

Make no mistake, photographing and filming Indian, Hindu, English, Muslim, Somali, Nigerian or Asian weddings is hard work – the preparation has to be perfect, you don’t get a second chance. The concentration required is phenomenal, you don’t want to miss anything. You need to get on with everyone – the couple, their friends & family, the guests, the other wedding suppliers but we find this part easy and enjoyable! The hours are long – on the day itself and afterwards when you’re editing, as we edit all our photographs and films ourselves. But it’s when you receive the sort of wonderful feedback that we get time and again, that we realise why all the hard work is worth it, and why we love doing what we do.

A special thanks goes to all our supporters on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Your encouragement means the world.

As with every blog, it’s hard to pick photographs as there are simply too many amazing moments that we have captured. But below is a small selection of some of our personal favourites.

So there you go, we hope you enjoyed our 2014 review of the year – The Best of Asian Wedding Photography! We are really excited for the weddings we’ve got booked for 2015; it’s going to be a very busy but enjoyable year. If you are interested in booking Colours Photo and Film to shoot your wedding then please get in touch.

We hope 2014 has been as awesome for you as it has been for us, and we wish you all a very happy, healthy and successful 2015.

We just had a look at your year in review selection of photos! Thanks for featuring some of our photos, glad that they are some of your favourites! In fact we have used the same ones and displayed them in our new home for everyone to admire. The Baker Street and Phone box ones are some of our favourites, and have always received some great comments, also the ones of the Oshwal Centre grounds are also loved by all who have seen them. Great photos, and thanks for capturing our special day, we can’t wait to see the album!!

    Happy New Year!ReplyCancel

I liked the Colours of the pictures 🙂

If you do get clients wishing to do destination photo shoot, we would be happy to cooperate as we do get Asian brides coming to Turkey & Cappadocia for pre wedding photoshooting and have experience in that field, we would be happy to assist you and your clients too.
