I recently joined The National Photographic Society (NPS) after a discussion with a very good Stevenage based wedding photographer about the value it offered compared to other professional bodies for weddings and portraits photographers. I did some online research and had a discussion with NPS staff who were really helpful in answering my questions but without trying to be salesmen. The biggest plus points for me in joining were that NPS is a professional society for photographers, unlimited free off-site storage, fee web-hosting on a business class web server and regional meetings with fellow photographers and so far I have not been disappointed. I look forward to trying out lots more of their services in the months to come. Having been a little disillusioned with some other professional bodies for wedding and portraits photographers, which at times feel like old boys clubs, I am hoping my experiences will continue to be positive.
