Just like all wedding photographers, I focus on the bride and groom, and the main activities, on their wedding day. But I always keep an eye open to capture the moments which the bride and groom don’t see because it’s these photographs that the couple will smile at and really appreciate. I apply this style of wedding photography in every wedding, whether it be Asian, Indian, English, Church, Muslim, Sikh, Somalian, Jewish and other cultures.
This week’s “Why do I love this Photograph” is an example of this. Having spent some time photographing the bridal makeup and the getting-ready images, I scanned my eyes around the room and saw the bride’s mother who was playing with her grand daughter. This photograph was taken at a recent wedding in Pembroke Lodge in Richmond, Surrey.
