I absolutely loved photographing Priya and Rishi’s civil wedding at Nonsuch Mansion in Surrey. Nonsuch Mansion is one of Surrey’s most treasured celebration spaces, a Georgian gem set in the heart of 300 acres of sumptuous parkland.
Priya booked me as her civil wedding and Hindu wedding photographer almost a year before her wedding, and we’d kept in contact throughout the period leading up to her wedding so I was very familiar with the contemporary style of photography that Priya and Rishi were after. I got to know Priya and Rishi even better at their pre-wedding shoot, where they were up for trying out different settings for their photos, from relaxing in a lavender field to letting their personalities shine through in the library at Nonsuch Mansion. The day of their civil wedding at Nonsuch Mansion was an unusually warm October day, and once again the couple, and even their friends and family were fantastic in front of the camera, as these shots show. I really wanted Priya and Rishi to be able to look back at their wedding photographs and feel the emotion, joy, fun, formality and informality of their wonderful civil wedding day.
